NKOA was inspired by this Giant Caterpillar project done by a group of New York school children. We plan on building our own "Bug" during the months of March and April out of recycled laundry detergent bottles. We will unveil our bug for Earth Day in April.
We are so exited to start on this project, but we need your help! We need donations of laundry detergent bottles and wire. These items can be dropped off at the University of Maine Cooperative Extensions Androscoggin-Sagadahoc office located at 24 Main Street in Lisbon Falls. Please tell them they are for NKOA.
Thank you for all your help!!

Today's Bake Sale
Several NKOA members and their families braved the cold elements today to help us with our bake sale at the Auburn Walmart. Despite the wind we had a fun time selling brownies, cookies and fudge. We want to thank everyone who helped out today and a big thank you to everyone who supported NKOA by purchasing goodies or donating to our club. If you were not able to come to the bake sale today and would still like to support our club please check out our online fundraiser on our home page.

2. The outdoors is important for children's physical and mental health.
3. The outdoors provides tons of learning experiences and opportunities for imaginative play.
