Bugs!

After a long holiday break, we began our new year of awesome adventures with Jim Nutting, owner of the Maine Art Glass Studio in Lisbon.  Jim is an artist but also houses the Butterfly and Insect Museum at his Lisbon location. 

We spent time learning about bugs from around the world, observing artwork created with bugs, and handling live bugs!  It was an lots of fun and excellent education!

Compared to the bugs Jim showed us, the ones that live around us seem kind of small and not so dangerous!  :)

Above is a picture of NKOA member Lily!  Lily does not like bugs, she is being VERY brave having this Tarantula so close to her!
