Our visit to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society

Today NKOA visited the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society in Lewiston. We had a great time exploring the animal shelter, and of course petting the animals that we could. The children had a ball holding the two white rabbits, a ratty, various cats, and petting a lovable dog named, Tracker. Lizzy the kitty made her self center stage by climbing her cage and lovingly cleaning her siblings fur. Our members also had fun petting the gerbil, Boojangles and Capsar the rabbit. We saw so many wonderful animals that could be adopted. Many of us wanted to take some home with us! To see some of their animals click here.

Thank you goes out to our members for donating so graciously many of the items from Greater Androcoggin Humane Society's Wish List. NKOA members saw first hand today that it takes lots of resources such as food and blankets, etc to keep an animal shelter running. If anyone would love to contribute to the shelter please check out their wish list. Another item that the shelter could greatly use is clay kitty litter.
